Running Man!

The best (and yet the only) Korean variety show I have seen.! A friend of mine recommended and showed me a special of this, and since then I just had to watch it all. Literally. I began watching from episode 1 and the show is still going strong 41 episodes later! For some reason I find it so hilarious that I’m crying with laughter (I think I’ll get some stomach muscles soon). I’m not even kidding.. I recently sat in the sofa at my mom’s place, and when I started laughing out loud (which I rarely do to be honest) she really wondered what I was watching, so I showed her. And she was actually laughing as well (which is also quite rare, I would say).

The people involved – “The running men” are a well formed group of interesting individuals, and as the journey continues they look and behave more like one big family, even though they are competing at almost any times. They also got their own jingles, sounds, phrases and “new” names as well, making it even more funny. And don’t forget the guests! They make the episodes even more interesting, because you never know how they will behave. None of the guests are alike, so you don’t know what to expect at all times.

Quickly summarized: “Prepare for zany quests, hilarious antics, and insane betrayals. See your favorite stars battle it out and and show their true colors as they fight their way to the finish line. Every week, Running Man tests the strength, endurance, and cunning of Korea’s top entertainers through various missions and races. The Rules: 1 – Protect your name tag at all times. 2 – Trust no one.” (from DramaFever).

In Norway we certainly doesn’t have anything like this, not even close.. And even though the episodes varies from 60 to 90 minutes, I come back time after time to watch. I just have to. Why? Because it’s fun! And that’s the only reason I really need. If you haven’t heard of this you should definitely check it out!

I still got over 200 episodes to watch, so I’m not running (pun intended) out of funny moments or stomach cramps for a while!

The end of Himym

I just finished How I Met Your Mother! I know I’m a little bit behind everyone else, but still. It was so good to actually finish something! And I cried… lots, through the last two episodes. Maybe I was tired of all the exam preparations, or maybe it just was so sad, I don’t know. I have heard of many people who were disappointed about the ending, but I actually liked it, to that extend that it wasn’t bad. I can imagine other endings, but in the end I liked this one. Anyway I can now move on to another show, whatever that may be!

The Paradise

I love tv series! Or rather; I get to caught up in them.. There are so many great series I want to watch! I don’t have any special genres I’m watching, but if a series just catch my attention I simply just have to watch it til the end.

I’ve had a look at all the “hit series” like Gossip Girl, CSI, Criminal Minds, Pretty Little Liars, Game of Thrones, Castle, Sherlock(!), Grey’s Anatomy, One Tree Hill, Big Bang Theory and the list goes on. And tonight I discovered “The Paradise”. It’s a BBC production from 2012, but it didn’t start airing here until recently. Luckily (if I may say so) it was only the second episode tonight. So now I have also watched the first, and I’m all set for the next episodes.  Basically (for now) it’s about Mr. Moray who owns a clothing storage, and all the women working/being around him.

I don’t know what it is, but there’s something about BBC series that catches my attention.. every single time! I can’t come up with a BBC show I’ve disliked. And one of my favorite shows is Sherlock. It’s just brilliant! All series have the ability to be great, but for me it’s BBC who makes the best (as in quality and classy). The Americans are good, but British is better.

.. I’m also quite weak when it comes to the English language, the British style of doing things and of course not to mention; the English kind of gentlemen. They are just fabulous.
