Running Man!

The best (and yet the only) Korean variety show I have seen.! A friend of mine recommended and showed me a special of this, and since then I just had to watch it all. Literally. I began watching from episode 1 and the show is still going strong 41 episodes later! For some reason I find it so hilarious that I’m crying with laughter (I think I’ll get some stomach muscles soon). I’m not even kidding.. I recently sat in the sofa at my mom’s place, and when I started laughing out loud (which I rarely do to be honest) she really wondered what I was watching, so I showed her. And she was actually laughing as well (which is also quite rare, I would say).

The people involved – “The running men” are a well formed group of interesting individuals, and as the journey continues they look and behave more like one big family, even though they are competing at almost any times. They also got their own jingles, sounds, phrases and “new” names as well, making it even more funny. And don’t forget the guests! They make the episodes even more interesting, because you never know how they will behave. None of the guests are alike, so you don’t know what to expect at all times.

Quickly summarized: “Prepare for zany quests, hilarious antics, and insane betrayals. See your favorite stars battle it out and and show their true colors as they fight their way to the finish line. Every week, Running Man tests the strength, endurance, and cunning of Korea’s top entertainers through various missions and races. The Rules: 1 – Protect your name tag at all times. 2 – Trust no one.” (from DramaFever).

In Norway we certainly doesn’t have anything like this, not even close.. And even though the episodes varies from 60 to 90 minutes, I come back time after time to watch. I just have to. Why? Because it’s fun! And that’s the only reason I really need. If you haven’t heard of this you should definitely check it out!

I still got over 200 episodes to watch, so I’m not running (pun intended) out of funny moments or stomach cramps for a while!

The end of Himym

I just finished How I Met Your Mother! I know I’m a little bit behind everyone else, but still. It was so good to actually finish something! And I cried… lots, through the last two episodes. Maybe I was tired of all the exam preparations, or maybe it just was so sad, I don’t know. I have heard of many people who were disappointed about the ending, but I actually liked it, to that extend that it wasn’t bad. I can imagine other endings, but in the end I liked this one. Anyway I can now move on to another show, whatever that may be!

What is my life..

In good tradition, exams closing in, much to do, and yet I binge watch anime. Yet again.

I will have to say I don’t really envy the people that had to wait every single week to watch the updates of Naruto Shippuuden.. I am currently watching the 375th episode and I find it so incredibly exciting! With only 62 episodes left – at the moment – I am wondering how I am gonna do when I close that gap. If I couldn’t watch the next episode I would probably lie around crying somewhere.

Still, kudos to my friend who actually tried making me watch it, like eight years ago(!). I kinda understand your pain, but how (HOW) did you manage eight years of waiting?!

I’m not especially looking forward to it, though I want it to end, so I can get a closure.

Closure, where are you?

Oh well. As you may, or may not, know I watch a lot of anime. When I got the time that is. And I have way to much to watch… I always have this “I have to finish what I’ve started” thought in the back of my head, but regularly I start a new anime, and put something else on hold. I really want to finish some of them, but I don’t feel like watching that, so let’s watch something else! You feel me? No? Oh well *sigh*

Deviant Artist Questionnaire!

For six years now, I have been a member of the art society – DeviantART. It’s been six lovely years too. I have always liked drawing, and I don’t suck at it. That doesn’t necessarily mean I’m good at it, but I enjoy to just escape reality for a few hours now and then. I sometimes miss my imagination, but hey, just sitting with a pencil in your hand and make something can be extremely stress relieving. I have also survived many school lessons with this site, since very few of my best friends had the same classes as me (that sucked).

In the light of DA’s 15th birthday they (the sites admins/masterminds) asked people of DeviantART to make a journal answering some questions of their time being a member here. Just for fun, and maybe to get some fun facts watchers and dedicated people didn’t know about you. I sure know it’s really interesting to learn new things about my favourite artists!

Of course I made one as well, if someone of any reason should be interested:

Happy birthday DeviantART!

Naruto!

I really enjoy watching a good anime. And there are several “long runs” out there, so in between of all these never ending stories I watch shorter ones. I was once asked to make a top 5 list of the best anime’s I had seen.. Well. Let’s just say that top 5 ended up being top 17. Still there are some I often come back to after several breaks, and Naruto is one of these.

I first watched the original run of Naruto. 220 episodes. And after some time passed, I decided I had to watch Shippuden as well. I have my periods where I watch like 30-100 episodes before I take some weeks/months/years off watching other things. But questions always linger in the back of my head; “what’s going to happen?”, “who will they meet?”, “who are they?!”, “where will they go?” and so on. I have this bad habit of always wanting to finish what I’ve started watching. Good or bad, I just have to know how it goes. Luckily, of all the, almost 100 anime’s I’ve watched there only been one really bad, and that’s not much!

So now I’ve watched like 40 episodes or so during this week (help, what am I doing with my life). Last time I watched around 60 episodes in a week, and that was during my exam writing (which was 8 days of writing). Well, you do the math..

So have me excused. I’m going to go watch the 235th episode of Naruto Shippuden, and the thought of only being halfway through is quite scary and yet so reassuring.

Oh my GoT

We all saw it, we all hated it, but can we really hate Game of Thrones? Yes we can.. My list of favorite characters are cut down this season as well. So I’m very eager to see what’s happening next season (as everbody else though)! The sad part is that G.R.R Martin is no longer in charge of the scripts. I can’t make up my mind if that’s a good thing or not, yet. Guess we’ll have to see.

As for that cliffhangers? #/&%¤&¤”/#”¤ This is gonna be 10 long months!
